The Brief
Overview
BLINK is one of the largest projection mapping events in the world. Taking place across Cincinnati and Covington, it attracts artists from from all over to put their work on the canvas of buildings provided by the two cities.
Process
As one of the leads for the Digital Rendering Team, I and my team were responsible for delivering the final content from the styleframes the Narrative Team provided us. The process required fast iteration and the ability to quickly pivot in some cases and even start from scratch in others.
Conclusion
At the end of the project, my team—in combination with the rest of the crew—managed to deliver a 3:30 video to BLINK officials by the deadline of October 4th. Our final deliverable was a narratively driven piece meant to walk the audience through the rich history of Madison Theater; it ran as the sole exhibit at Madison and ran every night from for the entirety of BLINK, which lasted from October 8th through the 11th.

Powerful Story
With as iconic a building to the local history as Madison Theater; we knew we had to deliver something more than fun visuals. Our Narrative phase was deep and extensive in order to research the deep hostory of the building in order to allow us to deliver a piece the people of Covington to deeply relate to.

Showcase Night
As eventful and exciting as the creation process was, nothing beats seeing the piece you worked hard on enjoyed by an audience as large as BLINK.
